ETC and Instituto Talanoa released a briefing note in January 2026 that provides a high-level overview of Brazil’s energy transition dynamics. It outlines key opportunities, challenges and recommendations to help sustain momentum post-COP30.
Topics covered range from scaling up energy efficiency and decentralised clean energy to advancing green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels and international partnerships.
ETC will continue to support Brazil’s energy transition through collaboration with local and international partners, with a focus on strengthening coherent planning, delivery and leadership on clean energy.
Note that Instituto Talanoa has analysed NDC 3.0 for selected countries, including Brazil. We invite interested readers to contact the ETC Secretariat for further information.
