The ETC RRF is expanding its delivery partners to provide technical assistance to support its partner countries. Since it was founded, the ETC RRF has received, and is responding to, more than 30 technical assistance requests across all 11 partner countries.
In 2023, the ETC RRF increased its capacity to handle these requests by engaging with strategic and delivery partners, including Ocean Energy Pathway, Regulatory Energy Transition Accelerator, Rocky Mountain Institute and World Resources Institute. The RRF also worked with existing partners to align priorities and renew commitments.
The ETC RRF’s key thematic priorities in decarbonising the power sector are:
- Integrated energy planning
- Utility-scale renewables
- Coal and fossil fuel transition
- Investment (policy and instruments)
- Green grids
- Energy efficiency
- Distributed renewable energy
- Just transition.
Along with overseeing over 30 requests, the ETC RRF hub, supported by its partners, has begun implementing its monitoring, evaluation and learning framework. This included setting key metrics and reporting templates. Impact reports on the 11 completed technical assistance requests, co-authored by delivery partners and the RRF hub, are currently being drafted to showcase the impact of ETC RRF support in partner countries
